Lake Altoona, Tennessee

West Point e Lake extends 35 miles along the Chattahooche River, just north of West Point , Georgia. The lake has a shoreline of more than 500 miles. West Point Reservoir is a 25,900-acres.

Construction of West Point e Lake began in December, 1965 and was completed in October 1974.

West Point e Dam was the first to have the "slurry trench" which is a technique used to prevent seepage under the dam.

There are three generators that produce enough power yearly to serve 24,000 homes.

West Point e Lake is located on the Georgia-Alabama line.
